Expertise
D. Markovitsi is Research Director, and head of the group DICO of LIDYL. She has expertise on time-resolved optical spectroscopy (absorption, fluorescence) used to characterize excited states, energy and charge transfer, charge separation, ionization, radical formation and photochemical reactions. After having studied these processes in soft materials (liquid crystal and various types of molecular aggregates) she focused her activity on the primary UV-induced processes in DNA, including guanine quadruplexes.
